You did it! You completed another week of teaching your children that they too can be President of the United States if they set their minds to it. Why not? Somebody has to get the job done, why not a homeschooler? Have the BEST weekend! TM : )
I know I just did a thank you post the other day, but I have been finding out more and more about who visits... HomeschoolIdaho.com... you guys ROCK! Thanks for the kind words on FaceBook! Keep up the good work in the north. TriangleMommies.com... I know you're spreading the word, a BIG HUG to you Moms in North Carolina. Tara from Texas, thanks for cheering me on! Homeschooling in our country is growing quickly as budget cuts and oversized classes are in every parent's mind. The homeschoolers are a force for the future. We will teach our children that they can be anything they want and be the BEST at what they do. Keep up the outstanding job teaching your children, they will thank you one day, and so will our country. TM : )
I just can't help it. I LIKE to reread what I wrote in the past. It worked then, and it still works now. My next repeat is called...
Friendly Words to my Fellow Homeschoolers #2 Flexibility in homeschool does not always refer to your schedule. There is flexibility in what you teach, and how you teach it. Just because the directions say, "Add 1 cup of sugar", does that mean we have to? What if I use a 1/2 cup of sugar instead? Does that mean the recipe won't come out right? Or does that mean I made it especially for me? Thoughts to think about. TM : ) Gracias! Arigato! Merci beaucoup! I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you stopping by to visit. I also want to thank you for getting the word out about this site. There are many new readers and I'm so happy you found me. AskTracy is all about encouragement for you AND for me. We homeschoolers have to stick together and let each other know that we're doing a good job with our kids. Encouragement is one of the reasons I stay homeschooling and I hope by reading my blog you are encouraged to keep on going as well. Thank you for visiting AskTracy! TM : ) What a great day to be a homeschooler! The weather is beautiful, reading can take place in the sunshine. The birds are singing, let's get the bird book out and identify which bird is which. There is a gentle breeze, how does the breeze make the wind chimes go? Did you see the new sprouts in the vegetable garden? Yep, being a homeschooler has its perks! TM : )
We have completed another week of teaching our children to be great. Keep up the good work! Have the best weekend, you deserve it! TM : )
You know you are a homeschool Mom when...
I am here to remind you that you chose homeschool for a reason. What was that reason? Do you remember? Of course you do. That's why you're still homeschooling. That reason is so important to you and your family. You changed your lifestyle for that reason. Keep that reason with you and put it in your back pocket. On days that are hard, pull that reason out of your pocket and remember. On days that are great, pull that reason out of your pocket and remember. Oh yeah, one more thing to remember, you're doing a great job! TM : )
It's kind of funny how we all search Google, hoping that Google can give us the answer that we are looking for. Any advice that Google can give for homeschool information is always a favorite search and many times the questions are looking for an "expert opinion". Who is considered an expert at homeschool? Is it someone's opinion on how homeschool is supposed to be? Is it a poll? Is it what I am writing? None of these suggestions are correct. There are no experts in homeschool that you will find by searching Google. You want an expert opinion? The expert that you are looking for is within each homeschool family that take the time to really know how to homeschool their children. TM : )
Greatness. Homeschool allows us to teach our children greatness. We can teach them anything, they can succeed at anything, they can do anything, they can BE GREAT! But what's most important? They can be great at something they love. TM : )
